Travel Basketball Tryout FAQs

Q: Do I need to bring a ball and water bottle?
A: Yes please bring both and have your name on both as well.

Q: Do I need to register for tryouts?
A: Yes, please register at www.lvbasketball.org. If you do not register prior to showing up, there will be a QR code at tryouts to register there. You cannot participate in tryouts without registering.

Q: Will I be able to stay and watch my player tryout?
A; No, we ask that you stay until tryouts start. All LV Travel Basketball tryouts will be closed tryouts. Some coaches will have a quick parents meeting to introduce themselves but once tryouts start, we will ask all parents and guardians to leave the gym. Each tryout will last approximately 1 hour. Please return promptly to pick up your player.

Q: Will there be independent evaluators at tryouts?
A: Yes, there will be at least 2 independent evaluators at each tryout to ensure each player get a fair chance to make the team.

Q: Will there be a B team?
A: Each team will be different. Our independent evaluators will discuss with the A team coach to see if there are enough travel ready players to create a 2nd team.

Q: When will I hear if my player made the team or not?
A: Each team will be different. We will notify all players either way at the latest a day or two after the 2nd tryout. Please feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have about tryouts.Good luck to all who are trying out!
